I have an interesting theory about Robert Bright's 1944 classic children's book, Georgie. I don't have much to go on, but I feel that I must share this.
You know how Georgie the Ghost lives with Mr. and Mrs. Willikers, right? But you have to wonder if the old couple ever had any of their own children. I think they did, but they give off the feeling thay the child(ren) they had were lost at a young age. The lonesome, quiet life they share together presents the idea that they used to have a happy child or two to keep them better company.
Therefore, that is why, in my opinion, Georgie is George Whittaker, the late son of Mr. and Mrs. Whittaker.
