Samantha Shannon is an English fictional writer and author of The Bone Season and The Mime Order.

Samantha Shannon was born in Hammersmith, West London on November 8, 1991. She grew up in Ruislip. She started writing at the age of fifteen, when she wrote her first novel, Aurora, which remains unpublished.
