Georgie Theory

I have an interesting theory about Robert Bright's 1944 classic children's book, Georgie. I don't have much to go on, but I feel that I must share this.

You know how Georgie the Ghost lives with Mr. and Mrs. Willikers, right? But you have to wonder if the old couple ever had any of their own children. I think they did, but they give off the feeling thay the child(ren) they had were lost at a young age. The lonesome, quiet life they share together presents the idea that they used to have a happy child or two to keep them better company.

Therefore, that is why, in my opinion, Georgie is George Whittaker, the late son of Mr. and Mrs. Whittaker.

European Union Law

I feel that everybody, everywhere on the FANDOM network, should see this article.

Basically, the EU (where Fandom is partly based) is passing a new law that requires the site to regulate and censor every edit to ensure best possible quality. Staff is opposed to this, but will be forced to comply if the law gets passed. As this would drastically affect every wiki hosted by FANDOM, I am doing my best to spread the word.

Hello, Books Hub..!

Hello, Wikia Books Hub, this is Concernedalien11780. As the next step of my quest to write a blog post on each wiki on Wikia that is based on something I'm interested in, I have come to the Books Hub. Seems to have been bad timing on my part, seeing as how now Wikia's main page has been redesigned and modernized, and now only has links to the Games, Movies, and TV Hubs, requiring me to find another link to get here. I guess that's because those three hub wikis are the most frequently visited, but it makes my plans that I've had since the summer a little more difficult to realize. I guess those three are the most visited because unlike books, comics, and most of what's under the Lifestyle Hub, things in the film, television, and video game …

Books and their film adaptations ♥

This blog is last edited on: //

Touching upon "duplicate images", I would like to just upload some film poster of films based on books that I've seen, in the highest quality I can find, before anyone uploads some really low res stuff under really bad SEO file names. This is THE Books Hub, so films obviously aren't the main focus, nonetheless, it's been done, let's just make sure it only gets better.

The first few edits are just to get the images uploaded to the Hub. I WILL eventually write my thoughts... but the keyword is eventually.

Updates: Adding links to respective pages; red links are pages that SHOULD be created (meaning, YES, I've found Wikia wikis for the subjects!), but haven't been as of now.

Those are images with duplicates that appear on pages regular users are not able to edit; I am obviously unsure if I got all of them, seeing that there's images on the hub and I didn't want to spend any MORE time looking through them as I already have.

When first finishing this blog documentation, there's 35 images with duplicates

Third Sleeper Reviews - Walk on Earth a Stranger (ARC), by Rae Carson

I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this book, and aside from a few errors (which will obviously get fixed in the final version), I freaking loved it!

The characters are really great (in the sense of how they influence the story, not necessarily as people), being super believable and live. The themes of freedom/feminism/abolitionism, family/loneliness, and over coming adversity also help to make this book "readable" for any and everybody. The settings are also really interesting, especially towards the end of this book. All of these characteristics mixed with the historical/magical-realism aspects of this book give it a powerful impact on the reader (at least, it did for me).

I'm not sure if I would say this book blowed me away, I don't thin…
