Hey there everyone! In December, the Wikia team will be featuring multiple books that are holiday themed. So, since this month will not have one book to focus on, we are having "Mini Book Clubs." This mini book club will be about the new upcoming movie "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug." Discuss here your reviews, your favorite and least favorite characters, or just plain old talk about the book.

The book was OK, but the movies are so more awesome! More characters that link the story to the Lord of the Rings, clear references to the rise of Sauron, the addition of Radagast and Saruman, the tension between Bard and the Company, all these make the movies more interesting than the book.
I love the book but have yet to watch the film…

Like, In the desolation of smaug the two elves arn't even in the hobbit book.
Or how when bilbo was talking to smaug he was invisible.
In the book when the dwarves were in the barrels going down the river, the barrels where closed.
